Athar Privacy Policy Last updated: June 14, 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Athar ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Athar app ("App"). Information We Collect We collect the information needed to run the App, including account information from Apple or Google sign-in; profile and goal information you enter; meals, barcodes, nutrition labels, workouts, body metrics, and progress data; photos or text you submit for meal, barcode, or nutrition-label analysis; optional Apple Health data only when you grant permission; and device, app version, crash, diagnostic, and notification-token data. How We Use Information We use information to create and secure your account, calculate nutrition and fitness goals, analyze meals and labels, sync your data, send notifications you enable, fix issues, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. AI Analysis When you scan or upload a meal, barcode, or nutrition label, the relevant image or text may be processed by secure server functions and trusted AI providers to return nutrition estimates. These results are estimates and may not be perfect. We do not sell your images. Service Providers We rely on trusted providers to operate the App, including Supabase, Apple, Google, Firebase, Apple Health if enabled, and AI providers for food and label analysis. Sharing We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help operate the App, when required by law, or when needed to protect the App, users, or legal rights. Security We use technical safeguards such as encrypted connections, server-side secrets, and database access controls designed to keep each user's data separate. Retention and Deletion You can delete your account from Settings. After deletion, we remove or anonymize associated data unless we must keep limited information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons. Your Choices You can update information in the App, disable notifications, manage Apple Health permissions in iOS Settings, and request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. Children The App is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect information from children below that age.
